Our standard DNA tests require that you supply us with mouth swabs. Mouth swabs are simple to use and yield enough DNA to successfully complete our tests. However, you may not be able to provide us with a saliva DNA sample under some circumstances. For example:
- In an infidelity DNA test you may find some suspicious stains on bed linen or underwear and wish to send these in for testing. We will confirm whether the stains belong to a male or female and whether the DNA matches that of any other sample you send in.
- In a Paternity DNA test on a deceased father; you may need to send in samples such as hair, teeth or perhaps bone. You might also wish to carry out a paternity DNA test when the alleged father is unavailable for sampling.
Please read through the information provided about the many discreet DNA samples we test. Different samples give different success rates and thus, where possible, we recommend you submit those samples that are likely to give better results. In addition, you need to be aware of how to collect, store and send the samples so as best preserve the DNA contained in them.
