To order your peace of mind paternity test visit our Order Here page.
It is important to note that the home paternity test is not court admissable and cannot be used for legal purposes. This is because the sample collection is not performed according to the required chain of custody procedures. Hence this test is simply for your peace of mind although the result is equally accurate as that of a legal test.
Alternative samples, including items such as hair and semen, can also be used for a more discrete paternity test or when one of the persons is not available to have his sample taken. A compelte list of samples is available at our Discreet Sample List page.
How does a paternity test work? What is the process?
Whichever sample you choose to use, the laboratory analysis is the same. Our scientists will analyze a total of 16 genetic markers. They will draw up the DNA profiles of the alleged father, child and where available the mother. They will compare the genetic markers between all DNA samples to see how many markers are shared between the alleged father and child. The biological father of the child must have all markers identical to those of the child if he is to be confirmed as the father.
The statistical analysis involves determining how likely the father tested is the true father of the child as opposed to any other random man in his same ethnic group. Should the father be the true biological father of the child we will show an inclusion of 99.99% if the mother’s sample is included. If the paternity DNA test is done motherless, then the inclusion rate will be of 99.9%.
