homeDNAdirect does not offer this test in the USA.

Our prenatal paternity test allows you to establish paternity in a safe and non-invasive way using only blood samples. Non-invasive and risk free

Through state of the art scientific developments we are amongst the first to offer this highly accurate prenatal paternity test using a simple blood extraction from the mother and alleged father. Testing can commence from only the 10th week of pregnancy.

Previous methods for a DNA paternity test while pregnant, including Amniocentesis and Chorionic villus sampling, are invasive fetal DNA sampling procedures that must be done by an OBGYN. Invasive techniques require taking DNA samples by inserting a needle through the abdomen (CVS might occasionally be done by inserting a catheter through the cervix). These procedures can stress the unborn baby, cause blood loss and even lead to miscarriage and permanent damage to the baby’s health.

Science & results of your prenatal DNA paternity test

This prenatal test uses cell-free fetal DNA in the maternal blood stream. Highly advanced techniques are used to analyze single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) found in the maternal blood. Scientists use over 300,000 genetic markers in this test which enable highly accurate results.

If the probability that the alleged father’s DNA contains the genetic markers required of the biological father is greater than 99.9% when compared to random individuals, paternity is concluded. If the alleged father matches no better than an unrelated individual, paternity is excluded).
